A fantastic programme of top rock and pop artists will take the stage at an iconic Edinburgh venue over the next few weeks, and the city’s trams offer a quick way to travel to and from the concerts.

When Edinburgh welcomes King Charles III later this week, the city’s acclaimed tram system will play a vital role in helping local residents and tourists make the most of the historic Royal visit.

From critically-acclaimed art exhibitions and mind-blowing theatre performances to once-in-a-lifetime music shows and festivals, Edinburgh is amongst the leading cultural places in the world. Trams connect both the airport and Newhaven with the city centre, and with services running from every seven minutes throughout the day, they offer quick and convenient travel to get to and from the venues.

Just a couple of weeks after the successful launch of services to Newhaven, Edinburgh’s acclaimed tramway has picked up a top honour at an event celebrating excellence in the Scottish transport sector.
