The range of available payment options has been expanded on the Transport for Edinburgh app.
In addition to paying with a registered debit or credit card, you can now pay for m-tickets using Barclays Pingit - the easy way to send and receive money using just a mobile number. Barclays Pingit can be used whether you bank with Barclays or not and is free, secure and easy to use.
BBC Four took the tram last week to film some of the best festival talent in Edinburgh this year. Poet William Letford, guitarist Declan Zapala and choir Township Voices featured in this week’s Edinburgh Extra. The performances on tram can be watched 9 mins, 27 mins and 37 mins into this show through iPlayer.

Following a successful and popular trial on three of its trams, Edinburgh Trams is delighted to be making travel even more appealing with the addition of Wi-Fi to every vehicle in its fleet.
The Wi-Fi, available on all 27 trams, is free to use for all passengers onboard with a Wi-Fi enabled device.

Over the last few months, the Transport for Edinburgh Waverley Bridge Travelshop has run a prize draw in the shop to win a Ridacard for a year.
Ridacard gives unlimited travel on Edinburgh Trams, Lothian Buses, Airlink and NightBus services.
The competition closed on Monday and the winner was picked from hundreds of entries.

Average weekly tram passenger numbers, not including launch week, are currently sitting at just over 90,000 which is in line with forecasts made prior to the launch of the service. The first week of service just over a month ago saw 130,000 residents and visitors come out to take the tram. 40,000 used the service during an extremely busy launch weekend and many thousands used the tram to get to and from the One Direction concert at Murrayfield.

Transport for Edinburgh recently partnered The City of Edinburgh Council and the Streets Ahead Campaign, on the council’s recent Edinburgh Apps Hackathon.
The idea was to devise some way of ensuring greater safety and road awareness for pupils moving up to secondary school when they might have further to walk along busy roads and across tram tracks.
Edinburgh Trams want you to have the best possible experience while travelling on board trams.
This week, there will be researchers on your tram asking questions about your journey and reason for travelling.
