Gig season in Edinburgh continues over the next couple of weeks with Summer Sessions at the Royal Highland Centre, featuring Sam Fender and Chappell Roan. Whether you’re dusting off your Newcastle United shirt or bejewelling your cowboy hat, our trams will be Hot To Go to take you to the gigs!

Sam Fender brings his ‘People Watching’ tour to Edinburgh for one night on Friday 22 August, and next week will see Chappell Roan play two huge sold-out shows on Tuesday and Wednesday.

As usual, there will be a sign-posted safe walking route from the Ingliston Park & Ride stop, and extra trams after each gig to get concert-goers home afterwards.

Gig times are all currently to be confirmed, but gates at the Royal Highland Centre will open at 5pm for Sam Fender and 4pm for Chappell Roan, with each event expected to finish around 10.30pm.

Sarah Singh, Edinburgh Trams Head of Service Delivery, said,

“The Summer Sessions gigs are a real highlight of the summer in Edinburgh, and we’ll be making changes to our services so that we can get people to and from the shows.

“With the Festivals in their final week, public transport is still expected to be very busy, but we’ll have extra trams after each of the shows to get you home safely.”
