Concert ticket holders are being urged to take the tram to the Royal Highland Centre for when two of the biggest names in indie rock and pop take to the stage later this month.

A clearly sign-posted safe walking route from the Ingliston Park & Ride stop will be in place for the Ocean Colour Scene and Catfish and the Bottlemen concerts, and with trams running through the night at weekends through August, fans should have no problem getting back to their home or hotel.

Sarah Singh, Edinburgh Trams Head of Service Delivery, explained:

These shows are set to be among the highlights of the city’s summer season, with thousands of people flocking to the showground on Saturday, August 17 and Saturday, August 24.

Parking around the venue will be in short supply, and the roads will certainly be very busy, so the tram offers the most convenient way to get there from other parts of the city, including Newhaven, Leith and the city centre.

Concertgoers can also take advantage of a range of great value travel offers, including the popular £4.50 day tripper ticket, which are available to purchase online in advance at www.edinburghticket.com.
