Edinburgh’s new ‘lifestyle district’ is set to become a home for heroes this weekend  and the city’s growing tram network offers the ideal way to travel to the heart of the Comic Con fun in St James Quarter.

Just a short walk from the St Andrew Square tram stop, the two-day event will see a steller line-up of activities and attractions transform the St James Quarter car park, offering a real treat for sci-fi and comic book fans.

The family-friendly event will feature everything from comic book and memorabilia sellers and workshops to props and gaming from 10am on Saturday, May 6. A cosplay contest will also offer the opportunity for visitors to spot their favourite heroes and villains!

Families and groups heading there can also save a few pounds by taking advantage of a wide range of online tram ticket deals, including the tram operator’s popular ‘Family Day Tripper’ ticket, and further details can be found here.

Nicola Mearns, Assistant Marketing Manager at Edinburgh Trams, commented:

As St James Quarter becomes a welcoming cultural and lifestyle hub for art, St Andrew Square tram stop has turned out to be an attractive destination for anyone who wants to avoid being stuck in traffic when travelling to the complex, especially during events.

With intensive testing on the Newhaven Line nearing completion, Picardy Place tram stop is also sure to play a central role in transporting customers to and from St James Quarter for future events, as it will conveniently serve the north east side of the shopping centre.

We’re one step closer to launching services on the new tram route, and we’re delighted to be able to work with St James Quarter to help people make the most of its event programme and fantastic venues.
