Royal Highland Show Tram

This year, the Royal Highland Show runs from Thursday 20 – Sunday 23 June.

Celebrating its 179th year, The Royal Highland Show is one of Scotland's most iconic events, showcasing the very best of farming food and rural life. A great day out for everyone of all ages, get up close to the country's top quality livestock, taste exceptional food & drink and experience rural living at its most vibrant.

Getting There By Tram

Using the tram is an inexpensive way to travel to the Royal Highland Centre and you’re guaranteed to beat the traffic. Download our handy leaflet here.

Edinburgh Trams offer services from every three minutes to Ingliston Park & Ride which is an approximate 10 minute walk from the south entrance – simply follow the green walking route.

Services operate from the city centre including interchanges with trains at St Andrew Square (for Waverley), Haymarket, Edinburgh Park Station and Edinburgh Gateway. You can also buy integrated train and bus tickets from your train operator. Find out more here.

The first tram from the city centre is at 5.30am and the last tram from Ingliston Park & Ride is 10.50pm.

Ticket Prices:

  • Single: £1.70 (Adult) £0.80 (Child)
  • Return: £3.20 (Adult) £1.60 (Child)
  • Family Day Ticket: £8.50 (up to two adults and three children)
