The Six Nations Championship continues this weekend with Scotland facing France at Edinburgh’s BT Murrayfield Stadium. Fans attending the game on Saturday are reminded that using the tram is the easiest way to avoid the traffic and parking hassle with the new range of pre-purchase tickets also proving popular.

At only £7.50, families travelling together can purchase the ‘Family Day Tripper’ ticket which offers a day’s tram travel for up to 2 adults plus up to 3 under 16s.

What is more, rugby fans can also pre-purchase an ‘Adult Rugby Return’ for £3.40 or a ‘Child rugby Return’ for £1.80, both from edinburghticket.com.

These tram tickets and other deals can be used from any tram stop, except Edinburgh Airport, and saved on a smart device or simply printed out ahead of the match.

Those driving through to Edinburgh can park at Ingliston Park & Ride which has over 1,000 free parking spaces available, including electric vehicle charging points.

Customers are also reminded that due to the works around York Place as part of the Trams to Newhaven project, services are only operating between the Airport and West End stop until April. However, the usual extra trams will run before and after the game on Saturday to provide a 3-minute frequency.

Edinburgh Trams Managing Director Lea Harrison, said:

With over 1000 free parking spaces at Ingliston and the pre-purchase ticket options available, using the tram to get to Murrayfield is so much easier.

Scotland and France have faced each other a total of 98 rugby matches, within which Scotland have won 39.
