Please note, due to an ongoing closure on Princes Street, we will be operating a part route service between Edinburgh Airport – West End only.
Whether you’re taking the tram or the bus with Lothian to the game, due to the disruption on Princes Street and diversions in place across the city*, make sure you plan your journey and make travel arrangements in advance.
Services are likely to be busy so please ensure you have a travel plan in place. The forecast for Saturday’s game is set to be a good one, so if you want to soak up more of the city, the West End is only a 15–20-minute walk to Murrayfield!
The inaugural Nations Championship has officially kicked off this year, which sees the world’s best teams from the Northern and Southern Hemispheres go head-to-head across two connected series in July and November.
Scotland have already taken on Argentina (🇦🇷 38-47 🏴) and South Africa (🇿🇦 42-28 🏴) and this weekend on Saturday 18 July, Scotland will take on Fiji at an ‘away’ game, hosted at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium.
Kick off starts at 14:10 hrs and we’ll be running additional services before and after the event here in the Scottish capital, so you don’t have to miss a minute of the action.
A gateline will be in use at Murrayfield Stadium tram stop so please ensure you have a valid ticket for travelling on the tram. There are a number of ways to pay. Pre-purchase tickets in advance via the Edinburgh Ticket website, buy tickets on tram platforms via the TVMs, or via the Bus & Tram App to get your tickets for across the bus and tram network.
Ingliston Park & Ride has thousands of parking spaces, so if you’re heading in from outside of the city you can park for free and hop on the tram to the game.
Becky Love, Marketing & Communications Manager at Edinburgh Trams, said:
The new Nations Championship international rugby tournament is sure to be a rugby highlight here in the Scottish capital, and we know it’ll be an epic showdown between Fiji and Scotland.
We’ll have staff on tram platforms and managing the gateline to ensure supporters get there as efficiently as possible. If you’re heading to the match, plan your journey in advance and please ensure you have a valid ticket so you can have peace of mind whilst you make your way there.
