The Guinness Six Nations 2019 Championship will be the 20th series of the Six Nations Championship, the annual northern hemisphere rugby union championship.

The championship will be contested by France, England, Italy, Scotland, Wales and defending champions Ireland.

Round One gets underway on 1 February and BT Murrayfield is playing host to three fixtures:

Scotland v Italy

Saturday 2 February. Kick-off 2.15pm.

Scotland v Ireland

Saturday 9 February. Kick-off 2.15pm.

Scotland v Wales

Saturday 9 March. Kick-off 2.15pm.

With the Ireland and Wales fixtures already sell outs, we’ll be running additional services from every three minutes to keep up with demand. With frequent and direct services to the stadium from locations such as Edinburgh Airport, the city centre and Ingliston Park & Ride, the tram offers supporters the best way to avoid congestion around the ground, and expensive parking, which will also be in short supply. For fans travelling from further afield, Edinburgh Trams also offers interchanges with trains at the Edinburgh Gateway stop in addition to Edinburgh Park Station, Haymarket and St Andrew Square (for Waverley).

Additional Travel Information

With up to 67,000 fans attending each match, our services are expected to be very busy with queuing likely at Murrayfield Stadium tram stop after the match. Our trams carry up to 250 people and we’ll be running them from every three minutes in both directions to get customers on their way as quickly as possible. For those who would prefer not to queue, the West End is approximately a 15 minute walk from the stadium. Alternatively, bus services operate from Westfield Road and Roseburn Terrace. Visit www.lothianbuses.com for more information.

Security Information

Scottish Rugby operates a ‘small bags only’ policy for major events at BT Murrayfield.  Ticket holders will only be allowed to bring in bags up to A5 size measuring 21cmx15cmx8cm. Bags larger than this will not be allowed into the stadium - this will be strictly enforced. All bags will be searched before tickets are scanned. For more information, click here.
