Scotland’s biggest celebration of food, farming and rural life is back this month, and we couldn’t be more excited! Take the whole herd on the tram to Ingliston Park & Ride tram stop for the perfect family day out.

Part of the Royal Highland Show (but fully deserving of its own entry on this list), Highland Hoolie is back this year, featuring some incredible stars of Scotland and Ireland’s traditional music scenes.
Nearest tram stop: Ocean Terminal
The Royal Yacht Britannia unveiled their sparkly new visitor centre & gift shop in May, as part of the ongoing redevelopment of Ocean Terminal. We popped along and can confirm it’s an excellent addition to the experience – don’t miss the original navigation wheel, spectacular views of the ship in port, or the slightly larger than life corgi!
13-15 June
Nearest Tram stop: St Andrew Square
The free outdoor cinema event is back in St Andrew Square this month, featuring screenings of family classics and Hollywood Blockbusters.
Filmhouse Edinburgh Re-opening
Friday 27 June
Nearest tram stop: West End
One of Edinburgh’s most iconic cinemas was recently saved from the brink of extinction and is expected to re-open in June with a programme of films which premiered during its closure, and redeveloped spaces. It’s a story worthy of a film, and we’re thrilled to see the venue re-opening this summer. Cinema… finds a way.
Saturday 21 June
Nearest Tram stops: Princes Street, St Andrew Square, Picardy Place
Scotland’s longest-running celebration of diversity, Edinburgh Pride, returns this year on 21 June. The annual march departs from the Scottish Parliament and travels up the Royal Mile, before reaching George Square for the Main Stage Festival.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical continues its Edinburgh run until the 14 June – catch the extravagant, sparkling show before it flies away! Later in the month, there are one-night appearances from sporting legend Andy Murray, and comedians Tim Minchin and Rob Beckett.

Restless Natives the Musical
7-21 June
Nearest tram stop: Foot of the Walk
The classic Scottish movie is reimagined as a stage musical, produced and directed by the same team who made the 1985 film. The Clown and the Wolfman ride again for 3 weeks at Leith Theatre this month. Don’t miss it!
Usher Hall
Nearest tram stop: West End
There’s plenty on at the Usher Hall this month, including the RSNO’s Season finale on Friday 6 June, and sold-out shows from Billy Ocean and Lucy Dacus.
