With a series of arts festivals and events currently being hosted across Edinburgh, anyone travelling by tram is reminded that the carriage of bikes during this period is not permitted.
Due to limited space on board, restrictions apply on bringing bikes on the trams throughout August and further information about the operator’s Conditions of Carriage can be found here.
Sarah Singh, Edinburgh Trams’ Head of Service Delivery, commented:
To ensure the safety and comfort of our customers during what is traditionally one of the busiest times of the year for the city, we want to ask both local residents and tourists not to try to board the trams with a bicycle.
Whilst this restriction is in place, customers are invited to take advantage of a wide range of bike parking facilities available across the network, including Ingliston Park & Ride, Edinburgh Park Station, the city centre, Leith, and Ocean Terminal.
