The Guinness Men’s Six Nations makes its triumphant return this month, bringing together six competing nations from across the northern hemisphere for a heated six-week championship for the 143rd edition of the tournament.
This year, Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium will host two rival countries, England on Saturday 14 February and France on Saturday 7 March. For those heading to Murrayfield Stadium to watch the matches, we’ll be running additional services before and after games, so that rugby fans can enjoy seamless travel to and from the events.
If you’re heading to the matches, make sure to Tap On and Tap Off with your contactless card or device before and after kick off – there’s no need for paper tickets and it’ll help to speed up boarding times so the only thing you have to worry about is the game results!
You must Tap On and Tap Off to only pay the cheapest adult daily city zone fair, otherwise an airport zone fare will be charged.
Turnstiles for all areas of the stadium will open 3 hours prior to kick off, but we’ll be there from morning till evening to get you there and back.
If you're travelling from outside the city, park for free in one of Inglistion Park & Ride's 1,000 spaces, and take the tram right into the heart of the action.
Sarah Singh, Tram Director at Edinburgh Trams, said:
“The games at Murrayfield against England and France this year are set be exhilarating, and we want to make sure fans are taking in all the excitement without having to worry about how they’re getting to and from Murrayfield.
“Stopping right outside Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh Trams offers rugby fans one of the most convenient ways to get there, plus we’ll be running trams from every three minutes to ensure they don’t miss any of the action.”
If you’re heading to watch Scotland play against Italy, Wales, or Ireland – whether in person or just making your way across the city to soak up the atmosphere – glide to Edinburgh Airport or through the city so you don't miss all of this year’s Six Nations!
