Dasher, Donner, Dancer, Prancer and company will be in service this December.
To celebrate the most wonderful time of year, we’ve decided to rename some of our fleet after the unsung heroes of Christmas, after all if Santa didn’t have his reindeer to drop off all his presents how would all the lovely girls and boys receive them!
So this month, whether you're heading to Edinburgh’s famous Christmas Markets, on your usual daily commute or going for some well deserved festive drinks, you can hop aboard either Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner or Blitzen.
You may notice a very key reindeer missing from our festive fleet, but don’t worry we haven’t forgotten our favourite! Rudolph our Red Nosed Tram is currently parked up at Edinburgh Airport shining his bright red nose to help those coming from afar get into the Christmas spirit!
The mock tram at Edinburgh Airport has been kitted out with antlers, a flashing red nose and a name plate and the remaining four in-service trams running throughout the city have two name plates each – one on each end.
