A great value ticket offer from Edinburgh’s award-winning tramway is set to help families and groups travelling together, to make the most of the Easter break.
Thanks to its fantastic variety of attractions, the city makes for a great day out for both residents and those travelling from further afield, and Edinburgh Trams offers the ideal way to get around.
What’s more, a popular ticket will help families choosing the environmentally-friendly travel option save a few pounds to spend on some Easter treats!
Offering unlimited travel from all stops between Ingliston Park & Ride and Newhaven for up to two adults and three children, its ‘ Family Day Tripper’ ticket only costs £8 and will prove a hit during the upcoming bank holiday weekend.
Nicola Mearns, the operator’s Assistant Marketing Manager, commented:
As well as allowing easy and inexpensive travel across the city and beyond, this ticket option also offers value-for-money discounts from some of our partners, including Johnnie Walker Princes Street, Hard Rock Café, Camera Obscura & World of Illusions, among others.
To avoid being stuck in a traffic jam, those driving into Edinburgh can leave their cars at Ingliston Park & Ride, which has over 1,000 free parking spaces available and is just off the A8/Airport junction, before completing their journey by tram.
For added convenience, the ‘Family Day Tripper’ deal, along with multi-day tickets and other flexible options, can be purchased in advance here and then printed out or downloaded onto a smart device to be checked by the trams’ friendly team.
Throughout the Easter weekend, trams are expected to run to their usual timetable, and further details can be found here.
