The Autumn rugby internationals kick off in Edinburgh next month, and we're gearing up to help fans make the most of the sporting spectacle, which is now called the 'Quilter Nations'.

As usual, we'll be running additional services before and after all four home games to ensure rugby fans enjoy seamless travel to and from Scottish Gas Murrayfield stadium.

Sarah Singh, Head of Service Delivery at Edinburgh Trams, said:

“With a stop right outside the stadium, our trams offer the easiest way for supporters to avoid getting stuck in traffic and expensive parking.

“With a range of ticket options available for supporters visiting for the day or planning to extend their stay in the city, taking the tram delivers excellent value for money. For those travelling from further afield, there’s plenty of free parking at our Ingliston Park & Ride facility.”

If you're heading to the game, you can buy your Adult, Child or Family Day Tripper tickets in advance now, and save on tram travel between Ingliston Park & Ride and Newhaven.

The action gets underway at 5.40pm on Saturday, November 1, when Scotland take on the USA for the first of four Quilter Nations games.

A week later (Saturday, November 8), they’ll face New Zealand in a match that’s due to kick off at 3.10pm before returning to Murrayfield on Sunday, November 16 for a match against Argentina, which is also a 3.10pm kick off. The final match of the series, Scotland v Tonga, takes place on Sunday, November 23, at 1.40pm.

“With Scotland facing the USA on home soil for the first time since 2000, and the prospect of our national team facing off against the mighty All Blacks, this year’s Quilter Nations looks set to be a classic,” Sarah said.

“As a result, we’re expecting large crowds for the matches, so we’re gearing up to do all we can to ensure fans miss none of the action, including running trams from every three minutes before kick off, and following the final whistle,” she added.
