Rugby fans heading to BT Murrayfield Stadium for Silver Saturday are being urged to take the tram to tackle the traffic.
On Saturday, April 28, the 1872 Cup decider between Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby joins the pinnacle of club rugby season – the BT Cup Finals. Dubbed ‘Silver Saturday’ as a total of seven trophies will be contested for on the day, aiming to showcase the best rugby in Scotland for existing and new fans alike and bring the community of rugby together for a special day of finals.

With frequent and direct services to the stadium from locations such as the City Centre and Ingliston Park & Ride, the tram offers supporters the best way to avoid congestion around the ground, and expensive parking, which will also be in short supply.
For fans travelling from further afield, Edinburgh Trams also offers interchanges with trains at Edinburgh Gateway in addition to Edinburgh Park Station, Haymarket and St Andrew Square (for Waverley).

Tickets must be purchased prior to boarding trams using the ticket vending machines at stops or on the Transport for Edinburgh App. Edinburgh Trams recommends purchasing return tickets to make your journey simpler. Return tickets are available within the City Fare Zone and the Airport Fare Zone. Customers are requested to have their tickets ready for inspection for the gateline, which will be in place at Murrayfield Stadium tram stop.
