Edinburgh Trams

Edinburgh Trams will extend services beyond midnight when the Rolling Stones bring their ‘No Filter’ show to BT Murrayfield Stadium this Saturday (9 June).

Services will run from every three minutes until after midnight from Murrayfield Stadium to accommodate more than 50,000 fans who are expected to attend.

Doors open at 4pm and concert goers can make their way to the stadium on Edinburgh Trams which will be serving stops including Edinburgh Airport, Ingliston Park & Ride, Edinburgh Gateway, Haymarket and St Andrew Square (for Waverley).

Sarah Singh, Operations Manager at Edinburgh Trams, explained:

“We’re extending our service beyond midnight to ensure concert goers can get home safely after what promises to be a fantastic show.

“As well as choosing from a range of fares that offer fantastic value for money, Rolling Stones fans can also avoid the traffic and the hassle of finding a parking space close to the stadium by taking the tram.”

Additional Travel Information

With up to 56,000 fans attending the event, our services are expected to be very busy with queuing likely at Murrayfield Stadium tram stop after the concert. Our trams carry up to 250 people and we’ll be running them from every three minutes in both directions to get customers on their way as quickly as possible. For those who would prefer not to queue, the West End is an approximate 15 minute walk from the stadium. Alternatively, bus services operate from Westfield Road and Roseburn Terrace. Visit the Lothian Buses website for more information.

Important Security Information - bags, rucksacks or suitcases

Scottish Rugby operates a ‘small bags only’ policy for major events at BT Murrayfield.  Ticket holders will only be allowed to bring in bags up to A5 size measuring 21cmx15cmx8cm. Bags larger than this will not be allowed into the stadium - this will be strictly enforced. All bags will be searched before tickets are scanned. For more information, click here.
