Edinburgh Trams

Pedal for Scotland returns on Sunday 11th September 2016, with three more rides to choose from catering for all ages and abilities. Pedal for Scotland’s main event day will feature the 46 mile Classic Challenge from Glasgow Green to Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre, the colossal 112 mile Big Belter from Glasgow to Edinburgh via the stunning Southern Uplands and the Wee Jaunt Edinburgh which takes in the last 10 miles of the Classic Challenge route.

Transport to Glasgow Green from Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre can be booked via Pedal for Scotland’s website. This year, Edinburgh Trams will be supporting the event by providing dedicated trams to shuttle holders of the special Pedal for Scotland Tram Transport ticket. If you do not have a special Tram Transport ticket our regular service trams can accept bikes but are restricted to two per tram. You can find out more information on the carriage of bikes here.

If you just want to cheer on your friends and family as they pass the finish line at Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre, decide to glide and get there by tram. Edinburgh Trams run a fast, frequent service to Ingliston Park & Ride from locations such as the City Centre, Haymarket and Balgreen. The Royal Highland Centre is approximately a 15 minute walk from the tram stop.
