The Lothian Buses app is now the Transport for Edinburgh app, a free update for everyone, with a host of new features and upgrades including:
- NEW: Departure boards, timetables and journey planning for Edinburgh Trams
- NEW: Share your location - or a destination - with friends via Twitter, text message or email. They'll be given full A-to-B directions from anywhere in Edinburgh and the Lothians
- NEW: Use your phone's address book to plan trips
- NEW: See live bus route diversions on a map
- NEW: When you plan a journey, set alarms to let you know when you need to leave the bus or tram you're on
- NEW: See the total fare for a journey
- Faster address search - now many street names will appear instantly
- Easier to use timetables - just choose a bus or tram stop, and you can see all departures from that stop for any time and day of the week
- Performance improvements for Android devices - including full support for Android 4.4 KitKat
With over 100,000 downloads of the Lothian Buses app since its launch in November 2013, it helps thousands of passengers move around the city each day. The new features are designed to make travel on board both bus and tram a seamless experience.
