Free Trams on Hogmanay

Free late-night trams are set for a return for a third year as part of Edinburgh’s Hogmanay celebrations.

In previous years thousands of revellers took advantage of the offer that saw services running through the night and into New Year’s Day.

To help customers enjoy a packed programme of celebrations, Edinburgh Trams has teamed up with Edinburgh’s Hogmanay organisers, Underbelly, to run free trams from every 15 minutes (from midnight on 31 December to 5am on 1 January) between the West End and Edinburgh Airport.

Lea Harrison, Edinburgh Trams Managing Director, explained:

"We’re running more services than ever before this festive season and delighted to be supporting Edinburgh’s Hogmanay once more.

“With a free tram services, we hope that not only does everyone have a great night but gets home safely."

Trams will serve all stops along the route including Ingliston Park & Ride which will have overnight parking restrictions removed.
