Fans heading for Murrayfield on Saturday (July 20) to watch two of the biggest names in Scottish and English football in a pre-season friendly are being urged to take the tram.
Glasgow Rangers and Manchester United will kick-off against each other at 4.00pm, and Edinburgh Trams will be running extra services before and after the game to ensure supporters enjoy easy and convenient travel to and from the stadium.
Fans can also take advantage of a range of value-for-money ticket options and free parking at the Ingliston Park & Ride, where they can leave their car before completing their journey by tram.
Sarah Singh, Head of Service Delivery at Edinburgh Trams, commented:
This eagerly awaited clash between two giants of the game is sure to see tens of thousands of fans flocking to the iconic Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium and roads nearby will be extremely busy, with parking at a premium.
The tram is simply the easiest way to get there with the minimum of hassle, and with additional trams running before kick-off and after the final whistle, we’re all set to help supporters of both teams make the most of this high-profile pre-season friendly.
Available to pre-purchase online, ticket options include an adult Day Tripper costing just £4.50. Families travelling together can save even more thanks to a Family Day Tripper deal priced at £8 for two adults and up to three children, and further details can be found here.
