Edinburgh Trams is donating unclaimed lost property left behind on trams to Cancer Research UK.

The partnership will see hundreds of items donated the to charity every month.

Lost property is kept at the Transport for Edinburgh Travelshop in Hanover Street for four weeks before space means they need to be found a new home.

Ranging from the obvious such as gloves and glasses, to obscure such as pets, passports and cuddly ponies the company is delighted to be able to recycle these items and donate them to such a good cause.

It is fantastic that Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams are supporting Cancer Research UK’s drive to beat cancer sooner. We are really grateful to the company for making such a generous donation.

Our shop at Corstorphine Retail Park has been open for a month.  It’s our first superstore and at five times the size of one of our normal charity shops, we need lots of good quality clothes, shoes and bags to keep up with demand.  I’m sure this amazing donation from will go some way to achieving that.
