For a fourth year running Edinburgh Trams will be partnering up with Pedal for Scotland supporting cyclists as they participate in either the Classic Challenge from Glasgow to Edinburgh or the Big Belter from Glasgow to Edinburgh and back again.  For those looking for a slightly more leisurely challenge there is the 10 mile ‘Wee Jaunt’ taking place in Edinburgh.

The event which, taking place on the 8 September is organised by Cycling Scotland and attracts over 10,000 riders, and the tram offers many of them a great way to get to and from the Event Village, just a short distance from the Ingliston Park & Ride stop.

Edinburgh Trams will be offering those who have pre-purchased a ‘Tram Transport’ wristband a place on additional non-stop services between Haymarket and Ingliston Park & Ride.

Sarah Singh, Operations Manager, Edinburgh Trams said:

“We’re delighted to be once again partnering up with Pedal for Scotland for their event in September, the tram is a great way for cyclists to travel to either conserve your energy before taking part in a challenge, or to rest your tired legs after.”
