Murrayfield Tram Stop is only a short walk to the Stadium

Try the Tram to the new Edinburgh Rugby Stadium

Edinburgh Rugby kick-off in their brand-new stadium this weekend with a pre-season game against Newcastle Falcons and getting there by tram couldn’t be easier!  The game on Saturday (11 September) starts at 3pm and Edinburgh Trams will be running services from every seven minutes.

The match marks the start of a series of pre-season fixtures and will take place at the Edinburgh Rugby Stadium, which sits in the shadow of BT Murrayfield.

Fans can avoid the traffic and parking hassle by leaving their cars at Ingliston Park and Ride, which offers free parking with over 1,000 spaces available, and trams running a fast, frequent service to Murrayfield Stadium tram stop, right next to the ground.

Edinburgh Trams’ Managing Director Lea Harrison, said:

We can’t wait to welcome fans back for what will be the first game at Edinburgh Rugby’s new stadium and one of the best ways to get there is by tram.

Murrayfield Stop is just a short walk from the ground, and we’ll have extra colleagues around the network to help fans have a great experience.
