Doors Open Day

On Saturday, 29 September, Edinburgh Trams will, for the first time open our doors and let the public see our operation through a different perspective.

300 tickets have been booked for the sell-out event taking place at our depot at Gogar.

Sarah Singh, Edinburgh Trams Operations Manager, commented:

“I sincerely hope that by participating in the activities we have planned for Doors Open Day visitors will get a glimpse into how we aim to provide a service that the City can be proud of now, and looking forward will continue to exceed expectations into the years ahead.”

Doors Open Days is Scotland’s largest free festival that celebrates heritage and the build environment.  It offers free access to over a thousand venues across the country throughout September, every year.

Visitors have been advised that they should walk to the main entrance from Edinburgh Gateway tram stop or train station. There is no visitor parking available at the tram depot but those attending can use Ingliston Park & Ride.  As this is a ticketed event we will have staff on hand to check visitors into the depot and onto their booked tour.
