Our new ticket offer looks set to prove a hit with tourists who can now enjoy a range of exclusive discounts across the city while benefiting from the flexibility of an open ended airport return ticket.
We have teamed up with more than 20 partners to offer holders of the new ‘Edinburgh Ticket’ great savings at food outlets, shops, tourist attractions and accommodation around Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Among the attractions covered by the offer are The Edinburgh Dungeon, Royal Yacht Britannia and The Secret Beauty Garden, whilst discounts are also available at the Old Waverley Hotel, Hard Rock Café and Harvey Nichols.
The ticket can be purchased in advance from a dedicated website, www.edinburghticket.com and Dean Anderson, Edinburgh Trams Customer Experience Manager, says he expects the deal to tempt even more visitors to the city.
"As well as getting them quickly and comfortably to the heart of the city, the Edinburgh Ticket will provide tourists with plenty of ideas on where to stay, visit, shop or eat out.
“Easy to book and print out at home, it’s ideal for those who want to plan ahead to make the most of their stay in the city.”
Whilst the Edinburgh Ticket can only be booked online, anyone purchasing an Airport Return - either from tram stop ticket machines or by using the mticket app - can enjoy similar savings. Both the Edinburgh Ticket, which covers return travel between the airport and any tram stop, and the Airport Return Ticket are priced at just £8.50 for adults and £4.50 for children.
To celebrate the launch we have commissioned a new promotional video entitled ‘Clouds to Castle’. Watch it below...
