Edinburgh Trams will be undertaking some scheduled maintenance in April and May, which will affect early morning services on three Sundays during the period: 13 April, 4 May and 11 May.

Works will be carried out during the night to minimise impact, affecting the first few services on three Sunday morning timetables. Edinburgh Trams will operate a reduced service, but affected stops won’t be served by the first few trams, which will run every 30 mins until the works are completed.

On the 13 April, the first few trams will run between Edinburgh Park Station and Newhaven, and on both May dates trams will operate between Haymarket and Newhaven. Full amended timetables can be seen below.

Marilena Papadopoulou, Edinburgh Trams’ Renewals Manager, commented:

“These maintenance works on areas of joint sealant along the tram route are part of our ongoing programme of renewals. They have been scheduled within these specific windows to minimise the impact on customers and to allow our colleagues to safely undertake works near the railways.

“Customers can contact our Operations Control Centre on X or at help points should they require any further information or assistance.”

The first full route trams will depart from both Newhaven and Edinburgh Airport at 06:50 on the 13 April, and will depart Newhaven ant 05:20 and the Airport at 06:30 on the 4 & 11 May.
