Music Icons at Usher Hall

October kicks off in style at the Usher Hall, where Scottish legend Lulu takes to the stage on 1 October with her acclaimed If Only You Knew tour. Just a few days later, fans can enjoy a very special evening as Priscilla Presley shares stories and memories during An Audience with Priscilla Presley on 5 October. Later in the month, chart-topping favourites Wet Wet Wet return to Edinburgh on 11 October, performing their classic hits to a packed crowd.

Theatre Highlights at Festival Theatre

Theatre lovers are spoiled for choice this October at Festival Theatre.

 

The month begins with the much-loved production of War Horse (2–11 October), bringing Michael Morpurgo’s powerful story to life with breathtaking puppetry. From 16–18 October, audiences can explore Scottish history with Mary, Queen of Scots, while 21–25 October sees the arrival of the acclaimed stage adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird. October closes with something truly unique – Black Sabbath: The Ballet (30 October–1 November), a groundbreaking fusion of rock and dance.

Big Shows at the Playhouse

Over at the Edinburgh Playhouse, the smash-hit musical Six takes centre stage from 21–25 October, bringing the stories of Henry VIII’s wives to life in a dazzling, pop-fuelled performance. Then, from 28 October–1 November, audiences can experience the epic romance and drama of Miss Saigon, one of the most beloved musicals of all time.

Raise a Glass This October

October isn’t just about the stage – it’s also packed with flavour. From 3–5 October, Oktoberfest brings Bavarian beer, bratwurst, and live music to the city, while Edinburgh Cocktail Week (3–12 October) offers 10 days of unique serves and an epic ‘Cocktail Village’ in the capital.
