Edinburgh Airport

Edinburgh Trams offer a frequent and reliable service linking the airport and the city centre.

Trams run from every 7 minutes between 06.18 and 22.48 and offer a consistent journey time of under 35 minutes into the city. Trams interchange with rail services at Edinburgh Gateway, Edinburgh Park, Haymarket and St Andrew Square (for Waverley). Other stops on the tram route include Murrayfield Stadium and Princes Street.

All trams are fully low floor and have dedicated spaces for wheelchairs. There are luggage racks located throughout the tram for large bags and suitcases.

Tram fares between the Airport and City centre are:

  • Adult single £6.00
  • Child single £3.00
  • Adult return £8.50
  • Child return £4.50

The return journey is open, and can be taken when needed.

Buy your ticket before you board

Every tram stop has ticket vending machines where you can buy all ticket types. Our ticket vending machines accept most debit and credit cards (£3 minimum spend) as well as 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins. No change is given.

The tram stop is located to the east side of the terminal building, just a short walk from the departures and arrivals areas.
