Customers making a return journey on Edinburgh Trams no longer need to buy two single tickets.

Following customer feedback, a new City Zone Return Ticket was launched in April and is already proving extremely popular.

Priced at £3.20 for adults or £1.60 for under 16s, the return ticket means that customers don’t have to pay cash at the ticket machine for the second leg of their journey.

Dean Anderson, Edinburgh Trams Customer Experience Manager said:

“Customers making return tram journeys told us it was inconvenient having to buy a single ticket from the ticket machine before each trip and they couldn’t use a credit or debit card due to the £3 minimum spend.

“Following this feedback, we launched our new tram City Zone Return Ticket for trips between any two stops from Ingliston Park & Ride to the city centre.

“The City Zone return trip does need to be used on the same day, however our £8.50 Airport Zone return ticket has an open return trip that can be used at any time.”

Return tickets can be purchased at all times from tram stop ticket machines before boarding.
