A feast of international rugby is set to kick off in Edinburgh this autumn, and the city’s award-winning tram operator is gearing up to make it as easy as possible to travel to and from matches.

As the city prepares to welcome the eagerly awaited fixtures at Murrayfield, Edinburgh Trams has added new options to its wide range of ticket offers that are sure to prove popular with rugby fans.

Priced at just £3.40, Adult Rugby Return Tickets can now be bought in advance from edinburghticket.com before being downloaded onto a smart device or printed out to show the operator’s friendly Ticketing Assistants.

What’s more, Rugby Return Tickets for children are also available for purchase ahead of the Autumn Internationals, which will see their first match at BT Murrayfield Stadium on Saturday, October 29.

Edinburgh Trams’ Managing Director Lea Harrison commented:

“Rugby has always been such an essential part of our city’s sporting culture and that’s why we’re constantly looking at ways to improve our ticket offers to ensure fans can have the best experience on match days.”

As well as these new rugby tickets, groups travelling together can also take advantage of the tram operator’s popular Family Day Tripper ticket, which allows unlimited tram travel from all stops between Ingliston Park & Ride and St Andrew Square for up to two adults and three children.

“With our service frequency being boosted to every three minutes before and after each match day, trams will surely take centre stage when it comes to transporting rugby fans this autumn,” Lea added.
