Edinburgh Trams are committed to giving the best possible travel experience to its customers.

Last year the entire Edinburgh Tram fleet was fitted with Wi-Fi equipment with funding from The City of Edinburgh Council's Connected Capital Programme.

Edinburgh is one of the 22 cities across the UK benefiting from the Government’s Super Connected Cities £150m programme, which is being delivered through Broadband Delivery UK.

The company are now looking to enhance this provision for customers. This month the next phase of the Wi-Fi project will be trialled on all trams.

Tom Norris, Director and General Manager said:

We’re very excited about this next phase of our Wi-Fi project. On our trams you’ll find links to news, entertainment, weather  and journey planning information.

This trial is a lite version which will run for the rest of March 2015. The complete service will be available later this year.

The full version will include a wealth of dynamically updated, highly relevant information with a focus on passengers getting the best out of the tram service and the Edinburgh and Lothians areas.  Keep your eyes open for it.
