With the festive season upon us, Edinburgh Trams have announced plans for how services will operate during the holiday period.
With the exception of Christmas Day itself, trams will run to a full timetable with services from every 7 minutes during the daytime and 10 minutes in the evenings.
Due to the current Scottish Government guidance and the cancellation of Edinburgh's Hogmanay street party we will no longer be running all night trams in the early hours of 1st January.
Christmas Eve (Friday, December 24)
Normal service with trams from every 7 minutes until 19:00 and then every 10 minutes until:
- The last full-route tram from York Place to Edinburgh Airport will depart at 23.30pm
- The last full-route tram from Edinburgh Airport to York Place will depart at 22.48 pm
Christmas Day
Sorry, no services.
Boxing Day (Sunday December 26th ) to Thursday December 30th
Normal service with trams from every 7 minutes.
New Year’s Eve (Friday, December 31)
Normal service with trams from every 7 minutes until 19:00 and then every 10 minutes until:
- The last full-route tram from York Place to Edinburgh Airport will depart at 23.30pm
- The last full-route tram from Edinburgh Airport to York Place will depart at 22.48 pm
