Planning is currently underway for if Hearts FC win the Scottish Premier League on Saturday 16 May.

If they do win, there will be a victory parade on an open-top bus through the city centre, with a route which goes directly past three of our tram stops (Princes Street, West End and Haymarket).

To ensure the safety of those involved, we will be de-energising the line between Picardy Place and Edinburgh Park Station. This means that we will run a split service, from Newhaven – Picardy Place and Edinburgh Park Station – Airport, from the start of service on Sunday 17 May.

The following tram stops will be closed, with no trams available: St Andrew Square, Princes Street, West End, Haymarket, Murrayfield, Balgreen, Saughton, and Bankhead.

Full service will not resume until Monday 18 May.

This is a changing situation, and we will not know if this will be happening until after the final games on Saturday 16 May – please see our social media channels for the most up to date information.

There are also disruptions to some Lothian services through the centre of town – see their website for more details here.
