Staff at Edinburgh Trams will be easy to spot this coming Friday (October, 21) with many of them set to wear pink in support of national charity, Breast Cancer Now.

Tram drivers, TSAs, and office based staff will be taking part in the charity’s annual 'wear it pink' day by wearing brightly coloured t-shirts, badges and wristbands in order to raise funds.

The event takes place as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a worldwide annual campaign involving thousands of organisations, to highlight the importance of breast awareness, education and research.

Dean Anderson, Customer Experience Manager at Edinburgh Trams said:

“Around 50,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, but Breast Cancer Now is doing invaluable work to bring that figure down and make sure more people are surviving following diagnosis. The charity believes that if we all act now, by 2050, no one will die from breast cancer.

“We’re delighted to be supporting a charity that is making such a huge difference, and what’s more, our staff are sure to have lots of fun by wearing pink for the day. We’d love to see our customers in pink too!”
