Edinburgh Trams is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month by ‘going pink’ on 23 October to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Now.

Breast Cancer Now is the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, created by the merger of Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.  They believe that if we all act now, by 2050, no one will die from breast cancer.

Niamh O’Shea, Breast Cancer Now, said:

Wear it pink is the UK’s biggest pink fundraiser and it raises over £2 million each year for world-class research into breast cancer.  We are incredibly grateful to Edinburgh Trams and their employees for all their support during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re delighted that they’re taking part in wear it pink on 23 October. We believe breast cancer can be stopped. And we believe that research holds the key. It is down to the support of fantastic individuals and generous Scottish businesses that we can invest in life-saving breast cancer research, and we believe that by working together no one will die of breast cancer by 2050.

Tram drivers, TSAs, and office based staff will be taking part in a 'Wear It Pink' day this Friday 23 October.   There will be lots of fun on the day including raffles, bake sales and collections to raise funds.

Show your support by getting involved and if you see the team in PINK, let us know!
