The Edinburgh International Festival gets underway this weekend and Edinburgh Trams is here to help residents and visitors to the city.

Fast, Frequent & Reliable Services

Services will operate from every three minutes throughout August including all night trams on Saturdays. For information, check out our timetable and our ticket options.

All Night Trams

On Saturday’s during August, services will operate from every 30 minutes throughout the night. What’s more, normal fares apply!

The City of Edinburgh Council have lifted overnight parking restrictions at Ingliston Park & Ride for tram customers on Saturday nights meaning you can make the most of our all night trams.

Connecting to/from a Tram

Our handy journey planner is great for connection to and from Lothian Buses.

If you’re travelling further afield, Edinburgh Bus Station is conveniently located beside our St Andrew Square tram stop.

We also connect with train services at Edinburgh Gateway, Edinburgh Park Station, Haymarket and St Andrew Square (for Waverley).

Edinburgh Airport

Beat the traffic and take the tram to the Airport. Adult open return tickets are £8.50 and with consistent journey times of around 30 minute to the City Centre, trams are a great option. Why not purchase your print-at-home airport return tickets from www.edinburghticket.com.

Virgin Money Fireworks Concert

To allow the Festival closing event to take place, we will operate part route to and from Edinburgh Airport and the West End only from approx. 7.30pm on Monday 27 August.

For Your Comfort

Our services will get very busy. If the hot weather continues, we recommend wearing lightweight clothing and always stay hydrated.

Bikes

As our trams get very busy during the festival, it is unlikely we will be able to accept bikes during August. However, our Ticketing Services Assistants will try their best to assist during off peak hours.

Be Safe

We want you to stay safe around our trams. Check out our 'Be Safe' page for more information on handy tips.
