Maintenance works to areas around the tracks will see some minor changes to the tram timetable over the next few weeks. The works will be carried out throughout the night, but will impact early morning services on Sunday, May 19; and Sunday, May 26.

From the start of services on those days, trams will run up to every 30 minutes and only between Haymarket and Newhaven on the 19th and Edinburgh Park Station and Newhaven on the 26th until normal services resume.

Marilena Papadopoulou, Edinburgh Trams’ Renewals Manager, commented:

As part of our scheduled maintenance programme, we will be upgrading joint sealants across the network, with some of the sections requiring a longer working window to complete the scope of works successfully. This will ensure the safety and reliability of future tram services.

Works have been scheduled to take place on Sundays to minimise disruption, and customers can contact our Operations Control Centre on X or at help points should they need any assistance.
