Celebrating its 178th year, The Royal Highland Show is one of Scotland's most iconic events, showcasing the very best of farming food and rural life. A great day out for everyone of all ages, get up close to the country's top quality livestock, taste exceptional food & drink and experience rural living at its most vibrant.

Edinburgh Trams is supporting the event by wrapping one of the fleet in a new wrap. Customers who are attending the event - which runs from 21-24 June - are being encouraged to use public transport to take the strain off of the roads.

Customers can ‘jump’ on the tram to Ingliston Park & Ride which is just a short 10-15 minute walk to the south entrance of the Royal Highland Centre. New signs will also been put in place to help visitors along the quickest route.

Edinburgh Trams will be running services from every three minutes between Edinburgh Airport and the City Centre for the duration of the show. Trams also interchange with train services at St Andrew Square (for Waverley), Haymarket, Edinburgh Park Station and Edinburgh Gateway.

Jamie Swift, Marketing Manager at Edinburgh Trams, explained:

“This is one of the biggest events in the City’s calendar and we’re proud to be supporting it with a new eye-catching tram wrap.

“With return tickets only £3 for adults and £1.50 for children when purchased on the show’s website, trams offer an inexpensive way to access the showground and at the same time reduces the amount of traffic in and around the venue.”

Edinburgh Trams has also teamed up with organisers to offer discounted travel by allowing you select a ‘tram travel’ add-on when purchasing tickets for the show. To buy tickets for the show including discounted tram travel, click here.
