This Friday, 24 October, Edinburgh Trams employees will be wearing pink to raise awareness and funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

The charity, which has strong links to the Capital aims to stop breast cancer for good by improving early diagnosis and developing new treatments.

James Jopling, Director for Scotland at Breakthrough Breast Cancer, said:

We are delighted that Edinburgh Trams have chosen to support us this year and wish them every success with their pink day. It’s a sad fact that breast cancer is still the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Scotland, killing 1,000 women every year. Everyone at Breakthrough Breast Cancer is dedicated to stopping breast cancer for good, and we’re at a point in our work where we can almost see the finishing line; but we cannot continue towards that without the inspiring support we receive from everyone.
